An individual from Canada was busted after he tried to sell steroids to a person who turned out to be an undercover police officer. The police officer responded to online advertisements of this drug dealer. He was a man of 21 years old that decided to host advertisements about steroids on internet in order to induce selling these illicit medicines. The distributor of steroids thought that it was the easiest and the most effective method to induce sales.
The Guelph Police Department responded to the advertisements via email on Kijiji.ca in an undercover way. It was scheduled a face-to-face drug deal in the parking lot of a local gym. As a result, the distributor of steroids was arrested. Four different anabolic steroids valued at approximately 650 dollars were seized. This person faced some counts linked with possession and intentions to sell illegal drugs.
Kijiji belongs to the corporation eBay. However Kijiji isn’t very prominent in the USA, it is quite prominent in some other countries, including Canada.
Ebay.com has utilized marketplace for illicit sales of steroids during several years. The Drug Enforcement Administration supplied eBay with a list of Scheduled III controlled substances that needed to be applied as a filter in order to avoid hosting advertisements related to illegal products.
